President Vahagn Khachatiryan met with the delegates of the Armenian community of Russia
On the evening of June 16, within the framework of his working visit to Russia, president Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the representatives of the delegation of the Armenian community of Russia at the Consulate General in St. Petersburg.
President Khachaturyan noted that the visit of his delegation is within the framework of the prominent St. Petersburg Economic Forum, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. According to him, any visit grants an opportunity to meet and have discussions with the Armenian community.
“We share your problems, and thus, such meetings aim to understand your concerns or the questions you are interested in. On the other hand, this is also an opportunity to present the situation in Armenia to you. You receive different information from different sources, but there’s a need for clarifications because that information is frequently incorrect”, noted the President.
In his speech, the President made reference to Armenian-Russian relations, the internal political situation and regional security. Vahagn Khachaturyan made a detailed reference to the current process of implementation of programs aimed at the final solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the approaches of the Armenian side.
Within the framework of his visit to RF, President Khachaturyan also visited Saint Catherine's Armenian Church in St. Petersburg.
