President Vahagn Khachaturyan had a meeting with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

President Khachaturyan emphasised the importance of continuous active cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross in solving a number of humanitarian problems. Vahagn Khachaturyan particularly highlighted the importance of returning the Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and civilians who are still in Azerbaijan after the 44-day war unleashed against Artsakh. The President emphasised the need for the active involvement of the International Committee of the Red Cross in this matter.

During the meeting, issues related to ensuring the continuity of searches for those missing during the Artsakh war were also discussed.

The President of the International Committee of the Red Cross assured, that the issues raised by the President of Armenia are a priority for him and are under the attention of the structure he heads.
