President Vahagn Khachaturyan had a meeting with the President of Latvia Egils Levits within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The President of Latvia noted that he was glad to welcome Vahagn Khachaturian as the President of the Republic of Armenia and congratulated him on his election to that position, wishing him success and effective work.

Both sides valued the Armenian-Latvian political dialogue and the dynamics of the interstate relations, and the need to further enrich and develop the relations was emphasized.

The perspectives of establishing sustainable peace in the region and joint efforts with the European Union in this direction were discussed during the meeting.

The Presidents of the two countries also exchanged views on the current problems and challenges of international security.
