President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the parliamentary delegation of Italy

Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation led by Giulio Centemero, a member of the Chamber of Deputies and the Head of the Italy-Armenia Relations Division of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The President welcomed the guests and noted that the friendship groups operating within the parliaments greatly contribute to the development of friendly relations between Armenia and Italy.

Giulio Centemero noted that Armenia has made great efforts and is on the track to democracy, although sometimes there are difficult situations. Democracy is a difficult and responsible way to move forward.

Both sides emphasised the need to enrich the agenda of bilateral relations and realize the existing potential to the fullest. In this context, it was emphasized that the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Italy provides an opportunity to open a new page, to give a completely different quality to bilateral cooperation in numerous fields, including trade, tourism, education and culture.

During the meeting, reference was made to the regional and security issues, the issue of Artsakh, as well as the current international challenges.
