President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador of Romania Cornel Ionescu

Today, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Armenia Cornel Ionescu.

The interlocutors exchanged views on implementing efforts of further developing, and deepening the Armenian-Romanian relations, based on mutual respect and centuries-old friendship, also those on regional security and challenges. They discussed the work of the Armenian-Romanian intergovernmental commission, and noted that it is an important platform to develop new opportunities for bilateral relations in some spheres.

Both sides highly appreciated the role of the Armenian community in the social and political life of Romania, and its bridging role in the relations between the two countries.
