President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the members of the Artsakh Parliament Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports

Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the members of the Artsakh Parliament Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports.

President Khachaturian noted that such visits and active contacts are especially important these days.

The delegation, who arrived in Armenia to participate in an extended joint meeting with the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth, and Sports of the RA National Assembly, presented the President the Committee’s current and future programs. They considered the preservation of the Armenian historical, spiritual, and cultural heritage in the territories under Azerbaijan’s control to be a particularly important task and stressed that it is necessary to raise this issue at international platforms.

They also touched upon deepening cooperation between Armenia and Artsakh in the spheres of education, science, and culture. In this context, they attached particular importance to the prospect of implementing joint educational programs in information technologies. President Vahagn Khachaturyan underscored the need for high-quality education.

At the meeting, they also touched upon the current problems of Artsakh and the Armenians of Artsakh, and the existing challenges, in the solution of which President Khachaturyan especially emphasized the unity and solidarity of our people.
