President Armen Sarkissian visited the Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See in Armenia

Today, the President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian visited the Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See in Armenia.

The Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See Archbishop José Avelino Bettencourt and the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Holy See Karen Nazaryan accompanied President Sarkissian, when he toured the newly opened Nunciature.

President Sarkissian expressed confidence that with its presence and activities, the Nunciature of the Holy See in Armenia will contribute to the strengthening and deepening of warm and friendly relations between Yerevan and the Vatican.

The President of Armenia warmly recalled his official visit to the Holy See in October and his meetings with Pope Francis and the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
