Discussions on technological developments and their impact on various spheres in the future continued on October 24 within the framework of the ongoing Armenian Summit of Minds in Dilijan.
During the plenary session on the "The New Public Contract in the Era of Artificial Intelligence, New Technologies and Pandemic", participants discussed the changes in politics, economy, social security, and healthcare due to the coronavirus pandemic, which brought forth new relations with the state, where technologies act as a driving force.
The impact of the pandemic on education and healthcare was mainly touched upon during the plenary session, entitled "Education and Healthcare: Post-COVID Reviews." It was noted that during the coronavirus pandemic, these areas were more affected.
Participants exchanged their thoughts and ideas on the need to focus on preventive healthcare and the possibilities of making distance education quality available through technologies.
Discussions entitled "Global Megatrends and the Financial World" focused on the global changes in various fields, as well as the impact of these trends on the financial world.
The Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Martin Galstyan, Director of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) James Zhan, Director of the University Clinic at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, academician Armais Kamalov, professor at the Skolkovo Science and Technology Institute Artem Oganov, representatives of international scientific, educational centres and technology companies attended the discussions and expressed their viewpoints.
Discussions entitled "Talks of the Future" continued during the summit. President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian talked with Mikhail Shvidkoy, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, Honorary President of Nestle, and Nobel Laureate Kip Thorne.
