President Armen Sarkissian visited the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Veneto

Today, the President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian visited the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Veneto. At the meeting, with the RA Ambassador to Italy Tsovinar Hambardzumyan and RA Honorary Consul in Veneto Gagik Sarukhanyan, they discussed issues, referring to the Armenian-Italian relations.

The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Sarukhanyan informed President Sarkissian about the Consulate's activities and work. He noted that President Sarkissian's state visit to Italy and bilateral commitment to develop relations will convey new strength and confidence to the Armenian community.

In the context of deepening the Armenian-Italian ties, they also discussed issues related to the preservation of the Armenian historical-cultural heritage in Venice. President Sarkissian expressed readiness to support, within his competence, the initiatives and programs directed to solution of those issues.
