Armenia highly appreciates relations with China. President Armen Sarkissian visited the Embassy of China in Armenia

Today, on the national holiday of China, the anniversary of the formation of the People's Republic of China, the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian visited the Embassy of China in Armenia.

President Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador of China to Armenia Fan Yong, the staff of the Embassy, and on their behalf, the entire people of China on the national holiday.

"I am here to express my respect and friendship to the people of China. Armenia highly appreciates the ​​relations with China," said President Sarkissian.

Ambassador Fan Yong thanked President Sarkissian for his visit. "We appreciate that you have come to congratulate us on our national holiday. This is one of the examples manifesting our friendship, and it evidences that building a strong bilateral relationship is exceptionally important to you," said the Ambassador.

President Sarkissian and Ambassador Fan Yong touched upon the agenda of bilateral relations, spoke about the opportunities to deepen cooperation, also attached significance to activating contacts between the two peoples and strengthening their ties.

President Sarkissian noted that the remarkable development of China has shown that every country and every nation must find their own way of advancement, based on their national peculiarities, culture, heritage and traditions, and try to achieve success through hard, organized, and disciplined work.

"At this difficult stage for our country, it is important to us that we find our own way of development and success as well, using our advantages, such as the potential of the Diaspora, and the opportunities for technological development," he said, adding that there is a great potential for developing cooperation with China in the sphere of technologies.

In this context, he referred to the ATOM (Advanced tomorrow) Presidential Initiative, aimed at the technological development of our country, and noted that within the framework of this initiative, it is supposed to cooperate with Chinese technological companies as well. The President noted that he would be happy to see a more inclusive Chinese presence at several events, organized in Armenia, in particular, at the forthcoming Armenian Summit of Minds in Dilijan.
