The newly appointed Ambassador of Peru to Armenia presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of Armenia Juan Genaro del Campo Rodriguez (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian.

President Sarkissian congratulated the diplomat and wished him fruitful work. The President expressed confidence that the Ambassador will make his contribution to the activation of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Juan Genaro del Campo Rodriguez stressed that he is ready to take practical steps to develop Armenian-Peruvian relations.

During the meeting, they touched upon the opportunities to develop cooperation and intensify ties between the two countries, also to promote commercial and economic relations. They noted that there is a potential for cooperation in high technologies, mining, and education. To activate contacts between the two peoples, the parties attached importance to cooperating in the cultural sphere and implementing exchange programs. In this context, they talked about organizing cultural days of the countries in Peru and Armenia next year, on the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Armenia and Peru.
