Italy looks to the future of relations with Armenia with confidence. President of Italy Mattarella congratulated President Sarkissian

The President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian on Armenia’s Independence Day. The message says:

"Yerevan and Rome are united by a sincere friendship rooted in the tradition of millennial and fruitful relations. The legacy of ancient civilizations, the natural sympathy that exists between our peoples, continues to develop excellent bilateral relations, which will be further strengthened by your long-awaited state visit.

On this solid basis, Italy looks with confidence at the future of relations with Armenia, hoping that the dialogue between Yerevan and the European Union will open new and better opportunities for your country and the whole region.

I extend to you, Mr. President, my warmest wishes for personal well-being, and I congratulate the friendly people of Armenia on today's solemn celebration."
