President Sarkissian congratulated Arthur Davtyan, bronze medalist of the Summer Olympic Games

Today, President Armen Sarkissian had a telephone conversation with Arthur Davtyan, bronze medalist of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The bronze medal won by gymnast Arthur Davtyan was the first medal of the Armenian Olympic team at the Tokyo Olympics, as well as the first Olympic medal in gymnastics since Armenia's independence.

The President of the Republic warmly congratulated Arthur for representing our country with honour, wished him every success and achievement.

It should be noted that during his working visit to Japan, President Armen Sarkissian had attended the first competition of gymnast Arthur Davtyan at the Olympic Stadium, during which our athlete successfully overcame the qualifying round of the vault event.
