Prior to the June 20 snap parliamentary elections, President Armen Sarkissian had a telephone conversation with Tigran Mukuchyan, the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission.

The CEC Chairman informed the President of the Republic about the process of organizing and holding the elections, noting that the CEC carries out all the necessary actions and measures stipulated by the legislation.

President Sarkissian emphasized the essential importance of the upcoming elections for the country and considered it pivotal that the CEC and other relevant structures ensured their normal course.
