Statement of the Office of the President of the Republic

Different political forces, figures, and individuals have voiced various comments, clarifications, and analyses on the terms of the President’s application to the Constitutional Court. Manipulations with this issue have brought forth a misconception that March 9 is the deadline to apply to the Constitutional Court.

We inform you that such opinions are unfounded: there is no deadline to apply to the Constitutional Court. The President of the Republic will soon apply to the Constitutional Court with a request to determine the conformity of the law “On the military service and the status of servicemen” and the Constitution.

Once again, the President of the Republic calls on everyone to be calm, sober, and restrained.
