The newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Armenia presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian
Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Armenia Migahalande Lamavansa (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian.
President Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador and wished him fruitful activity, hoping that he promotes the relations between the two countries to the best of his ability and experience.
Touching upon the perspective directions of cooperation, President Sarkissian particularly singled out the spheres of education, science, and healthcare.
Ambassador Migahalande Lamavansa expressed his readiness to contribute to the development of cooperation. He noted that dozens of Sri Lankan students are already receiving education in Armenia and considered the further implementation of mutually beneficial programs important.
