Message of President Armen Sarkissian: unity is the only guarantee of our victories
Dear Compatriots in Armenia, Artsakh, and Diaspora,
A new military aggression by Azerbaijan is a war against the entire Armenian nation. This war is launched against the right of the people of Artsakh to live free, with dignity, to have a peaceful life and future.
I feel great pain for those who have been killed in this large-scale offensive by Azerbaijan, which include also a female and a child.
With its very first response, the Defense Army of Artsakh has proved once again that it stands ready to retort rapidly to any military action.
Our reaction to any aggression has been and will be restoration of peace, right of people of Artsakh for self-determination, and reinforced security. We anticipate that the international community, first of all countries-members of the OSCE Minsk Group states, international structures, and individuals will give an adequate and practical assessment to Azerbaijan’s war actions.
Through these actions, Azerbaijan has unequivocally demonstrated to the mediators and international community that it is not willing to solve the Artsakh issue through negotiations and to promote peace and stability in the region but rather will continue to violate human values, target civilian population, medical centers, and lines of communication.
We hope that the international community will take urgent steps to stop the war unleashed by Azerbaijan. It is essential to stop loss of human lives and prevent a further destabilization of the fragile situation in the region.
Dear Compatriots,
Victory achieved in the Artsakh Liberation War was a result of our unity and unanimity; today, it is our sacred duty to uphold that victory.
Destiny of our Fatherland depends on us, on our unity, solidarity, and discipline.
We must be united.
Unity is the only guarantee of our victories. At this moment we have to put aside all our political disagreements and personal differences and become a strong back for our Armed Forces.
We have to work together no matter how different our thinking, visions, and perceptions are.
Each and everyone’s potential in Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora must be used for the benefit of the Fatherland.
God protect our Army.
God protect us all.
