Public Relations Department of the Presidential Administration responded to the open letter of the employees of the Nork Infectious Diseases Hospital

At the award ceremony, which took place on September 21 at the Presidential Palace, President Sarkissian noted in his remarks, “I wish that all our doctors, medical service workers from the ambulance drivers to doctors and head doctors receive commendation and appreciation they deserve in the nearest future because they have made a huge contribution to the fight against coronavirus.”

The President of Armenia is not authorized to bestow state awards and honorary titles at his discretion. According to the “Law of the Republic of Armenia on state awards and honorary titles”, the President of Armenia bestows state awards and honorary titles based on pertinent mediation. Those, who can intercede with the President, include the Prime Minister of RA, Speaker of the Parliament, Chairmen of the Constitutional Court and Supreme Judicial Council.

As for the letter of the employees of the Nork Infectious Diseases Hospital, at the directive of President Armen Sarkissian, the Head of Presidential Administration has established a contact with their representative and invited for a meeting to the Presidential Palace.
