“Relations between Yerevan and Rome are ancient and deep but, at the same time, they are aimed into the future”: President of Italy congratulated Armen Sarkissian on the occasion of Independence Day
President of Italy Sergio Mattarella congratulated President Armen Sarkissian on the occasion of Independence Day.
The message states:
“Mr. President,
On the occasion of the national holiday, I convey to you the warmest congratulations on behalf of whole Italy and my own behalf.
Relations between Yerevan and Rome are ancient and deep but, at the same time, they are aimed into the future. They are reflected in our fruitful cooperation from which our countries have to take important opportunities.
With this regard, solidarity remains a priority. During complex challenges, such the persisting pandemic, which made us re-schedule your very much anticipated and desirable visit, Armenia and Italy have been able to withstand the state of emergency and establish a positive cooperation and exchange of experience in the healthcare area.
I hope that also through the assistance of the European Union, in which Italy has its share, it will be possible to look confidently into the future, toward the route to development and prosperity.”
With the anticipation to host you in Quirinale Palace, please accept the assurances of my personal friendship and good wishes for the prosperity of the Armenian people.”
