President Steinmeier sent a congratulatory message to President Armen Sarkissian: Germany will continue to stand by Armenia as a reliable partner

On the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier sent a congratulatory message to President Armen Sarkissian.

“This year, this jovial day is shadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Once again it became clear that in this interrelated world all countries need each other to solve common problems. Peaceful changes in Armenia that took place in 2018 and subsequent developments show that the Armenian nation is full of optimist and determination when it comes to building its future. Thus, I am confident that Armenia will efficiently overcome the current challenges too. Germany will continue to stand by Armenia as a reliable partner.

I wish you and your compatriots that from now on you continue to develop your country in a peaceful and good-neighborly environment, and I hope to meet with you again soon,” the congratulatory message of the President of Germany reads.
