President Armen Sarkissian and Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian held a meeting with the newly appointed representative of UNICEF in Armenia

The President of Armenia received today the newly appointed representative of UNICEF in Armenia Marianne Clark-Hattingh. Present at the meeting was also Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian who months ago was appointed by UNICEF a High Level Advocate for children.

President Sarkissian hailed the activities of UNICEF in Armenia aimed at the protection of children’s rights, resolution of the issues related to their care, health, and education.
Mrs. Marianne Clark-Hattingh said she was glad to meet with the High Level Advocate of children. She reiterated the readiness of UNICEF to cooperate closely in the areas of child protection and care.

The parties exchanged views on the challenges existing in the area of children’s rights protection and priorities.
President Sarkissian expressed readiness to assist the UNICEF programs and offered at the same time to implement new joint projects.
