President Armen Sarkissian sent letters to the Armenian Catholic Catholicos Patriarch of the House of Cilicia and President of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches of the Middle East: Fatherland is with you and stands by you

On the occasion of the tragic events in Beirut, the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian sent letters to His Holiness and Beatitude the Armenian Catholic Catholicos Patriarch of the House of Cilicia Grigor Petros I Kaproyan and President of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches of the Middle East Rev. Mkrtich Karagyozyan.

“I feel great pain on the horrible tragedy which befell the friendly Lebanon, brotherly people of Lebanon and our compatriots, Armenians of Lebanon. This is not only a human tragedy but also a catastrophe,” the letter of the President reads in particular. “At this difficult moment, the Fatherland is with you and stands by you. I express my condolences to the families and friends of all victims of the explosion. And I wish a speedy recovery to all injured.”

President Sarkissian expressed his support to all national and church figures, the entire Armenian community of Lebanon and stressed the importance of the united actions of all national and church structures.
