President Armen Sarkissian visited the Central Clinical Military Hospital of the MoD: true and real creators of history are our military servicemen

President Armen Sarkissian visited today the Central Clinical Military Hospital of the RA Ministry of Defense where a group of servicemen are receiving treatment for the wounds of different kinds inflicted by the Azerbaijani weapons during their combat duty at the Tavush segment of the Armenian-Azerbaijan border.

Accompanied by the RA Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan and Head of the Military Medicine Department of the RA Armed Forces Sahak Ohanian, the President visited the servicemen, inquired about their health condition, received treatment and wished them a speedy recovery. Representatives of the medical personnel told about the current condition of the servicemen and the process of recuperation.

Armen Sarkissian conversed with the servicemen and their parents present in the hospital.

The President said that our people are proud of our Army, its brave soldiers, officers and generals and are confident that because of them the enemy’s every encroachment is doomed to failure.

The President of Armenia expressed gratitude to the troops for the efforts and courage in serving and defending the Fatherland and wished them a speedy recovery. President Sarkissian said that regardless of how situations are perceived and accompanying comments, regardless of commendation or criticism, regardless of various theories, regardless of everything else, our servicemen are the true and real creators of history, and we all own them for peace and our security.

“I have come to thank you all, also to remember your friends who gave their lives. Stay strong. Our entire nation worries for your health. You are our defenders,” the President noted. “You are heroes. We can discuss many things, chant slogans but history will keep what you have done. It will also keep events of the April War, of 1990s… You will remain the heroes who held our country’s flag high. Be strong and healthy. You should know that you are the individuals who left their footprints in history and proved that no one can beat our Army.

The war unleashed by Azerbaijan these days is a blatant violation of human rights. At the moment, when all countries of the world are fighting another war, which is called coronavirus, our neighbors decided to unleash a war. Our neighbors disrespect human rights to the degree that were able to do such a thing. The enemy has done something which violates all human values, written and unwritten rules.”

The President noted that he is in a constant contact with his partners abroad, leaders of different states, heads of international structures, representatives of the Armenian communities abroad and informs them unofficially on the situation. “Have no doubt that I, as the President, will do my best to support the Prime Minister, Government, Minister of Defense and the Army so that you recuperate as soon as possible and so that our Army becomes even stronger,” President Sarkissian said.
