At the initiative of President Armen Sarkissian Serbia will provide medical assistance for one million US dollars

After a phone conversation between the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Serbian will dispatch humanitarian assistance to Armenia to support our country in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Recently, President Armen Sarkissian had a phone conversation with his colleague and good friend Aleksandar Vučić. The Presidents spoke about the situation created by the pandemic. The President of Serbia underscored that his country is ready to assist Armenia. President Sarkissian passed on to the Serbian side the list of necessary items provided by the RA Minister of Health.

Several days ago, at the meeting with the experts of the healthcare area, the President of Armenia underscored that he spoke again with his Serbian colleague. The latter informed in detail what kind and what quantity of articles he would be sending to his Armenian friend in his person to the friendly people of Armenia.

In the nearest future, two aircrafts loaded with an impressive number of medical supplies and devises will arrive on special flights to Armenia. Our country will receive nearly 10 artificial lung ventilation devises, ten monitors to follow patients’ condition, 500 thousand surgical and 100 thousand face masks, 25 thousand protective glasses, 25 thousand protective medial gear, and other necessary items. The total value of the assistance to Armenia initiated by President Sarkissian and organized through the efforts of the President of Serbia is close to one million US dollars.

During the phone conversation with the President of Serbia, President Armen Sarkissian thanked Aleksandar Vučić and in his person the friendly Serb people for their constant warm attitude toward Armenia and the Armenian people.
