President Armen Sarkissian had a distant conversation with the Ambassador of Italy in Armenia on the occasion of Italy’s National Holiday

President Armen Sarkissian had today a video call with the Ambassador of Italy in Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco and congratulated the Ambassador and in his person the Italian people on the occasion of Italy’s National Holiday.

President Armen Sarkissian once again expressed his solidarity with the friendly people of Italy and expressed confidence that the consequences of the pandemic would be alleviated soon, and the two countries would take to the strengthening the relations even further.

Ambassador Del Monaco thanked the President for congratulations and good wishes and noted that throughout the pandemic Italians feel the warmth and friendship of the Armenian people.

Speaking of the deep friendly relations between Armenia and Italy, the interlocutors stressed the importance of a continuous strengthening and development of cooperation. In this context they referred to the President’s state visit to Italy scheduled for this fall, prospects and opportunities for cooperation of the two countries in the areas of economy, science, technology, culture, and others. Ambassador Del Monaco said that the high-level visit would be momentous for the expansion of the bilateral relations and for the deepening of cooperation in the mentioned areas.
