President Armen Sarkissian received the Ombudsman of Armenia: the parties stressed the importance of human rights protection in the situation conditioned by the pandemic

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan.

At the meeting discussed were issues pertinent to the protection of human rights during the coronavirus pandemic. Arman Tatoyan informed that the staff of the Human Rights Defender works around the clock, examines and analyzes issues raised by the citizens and takes steps toward their resolution.

President Armen Sarkissian stressed the importance of human rights protection in the complex situations such as this one and underscored the important role of the Ombudsman’s institute in fulfilling this task.
