President Armen Sarkissian had a distant conversation with the American businessman and benefactor Noubar Afeyan: combination of experience and knowledge will produce positive results

President Armen Sarkissian continues distant conversations and discussions with the famous individuals and entrepreneurs of the Armenian origin, with experts in various areas who in different countries and companies are engaged in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, including the works on the creation of a vaccine. In this context, President Sarkissian had a conversation with the Armenian-American businessman and benefactor Noubar Afeyan.

Noubar Afeyan is the co-founder and CEO of the American Moderna company which has been working vigorously on creating a vaccine to fight the coronavirus. The first phase of the clinical trials has already produced preliminary results.

Noubar Afeyan informed the President about this development and noted that the first phase of the vaccine trials was successful.

President Sarkissian wished Noubar Afeyan every success in his undertakings and noted that a combination of experience and knowledge would produce positive results.

The President of Armenia and American businessman exchanged views on the situation with the coronavirus in Armenia as well as opportunities and avenues to overcome its consequences. The President stressed the importance of mastering the situation through joint efforts and said that only combined efforts would allow to defeat this new calamity.
