President Armen Sarkissian congratulated Bako Sahakian: liberation of Shushi gave second breath to the Artsakhis’ aspiration to live in a free and sovereign country

President Armen Sarkissian spoke today on the phone with the President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakian.

The President of Armenia congratulated the President of Artsakh on the occasion of the Liberation of Shushi, the 28th anniversary of the creation of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh and on Victory and Peace Day. The President said that the Liberation of Shushi gave second breath to the Artsakhis’ aspiration to live in a free and sovereign country, and the Republic of Artsakh is a living proof of it.

President Sarkissian hailed Bako Sahakian’s great contribution in the liberation of Artsakh as well as in building Artsakh’s statehood, state governance, formation and strengthening of democratic institutions. He wished him good health and success, as well as peace, prosperity and all the best to Artsakh.
