Presidents of Armenia and Georgia had a video conversation: coordinated cooperation between the neighboring states becomes even more important in crisis situations
President Armen Sarkissian had today a video conversation with the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili.
The Presidents of Armenia and Georgia spoke of the measures taken in the two countries to fight the pandemic of the coronavirus, preventive steps and actions to overcome the ramifications of the epidemic.
The interlocutors stressed in particular the established close cooperation and permanent contacts at all levels between the two neighboring and friendly states and underscored that at challenging times like now the implementation of coordinated measures and joint efforts becomes more important than ever.
The Presidents of Armenia and Georgia expressed confidence that through the joint efforts the situation created by the pandemic and its ramifications would certainly be rectified and the two countries in the future would be able to channel the entire potential of cooperation toward the rehabilitation of the economies and prosperity of our nations. President Sarkissian said that the issue of food security remains urgent especially under the existing situation. In this context the parties spoke of warranting food security in the contemporary interconnected world and the region. They also discussed some other issues.
