President Armen Sarkissian congratulated Arayik Harutyunian: Republic of Artsakh proved once again it is a mature state

President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian spoke on the phone with the newly elected President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunian.

President Sarkissian congratulated Arayik Harutyunian on his victory in the second round of the presidential elections and his election to the high position of President of the Republic of Artsakh.

President Sarkissian said that Arayik Harutyunian assumes the position of President at a very complicated and responsible time for Artsakh, conditioned by the global events and particularly by the intricate geopolitical developments in our region. “The Republic of Artsakh proved once again it is a mature state with state bodies and, most importantly, with citizens. Today more than ever we have to be united and unified,” the President of Armenia said.

Armen Sarkissian expressed confidence that Arayik Harutyunian would be able to solidify the atmosphere of solidarity and tolerance in Artsakh, to consolidate and ensure Artsakh’s security, economic and political development, and to unite people around the common goals.
