On the occasion of Easter President Sarkissian sent congratulatory messages to the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I

President Sarkissian sent congratulatory messages on the occasion of the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to the His Holiness Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and to His Holiness Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I. The President of Armenia thanked for the congratulations, prayers, and good wishes sent to him earlier on the occasion of Easter Holiday.

In his message addressed to His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, President Sarkissian noted, “In these troubling times, when the new coronavirus has created serious health, social, and economic problems and our state structures and relevant bodies are doing everything possible to withstand the epidemic, the public needs also your counsel and advice.

In the existing conditions, the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church under your leadership is making the utmost efforts to support the faithful in Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora.

Let us wish fortitude to the Armenian state and to the Holy Church under your leadership, health and safety to our people.”

The message of the President addressed to His Holiness Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I reads, “In these trying times, when people have to strain every nerve and exercise great efforts, the role of Church and faith in our lives increases even more.

Let Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ enrich our souls and households and let it become a nourishing source to you for the glory of the Holy Armenian Church and for the protection of our people all over the world, in Armenia and Artsakh.”
