President Sarkissian spoke on the phone with the well-known Armenian-American businessman and benefactor Noubar Afeyan

President Armen Sarkissian had a phone conversation with the well-known Armenian-American businessman and benefactor, co-founder of the Aurora humanitarian initiative Noubar Afeyan.

The American Moderna Therapeutics biotechnological company, whose co-founder and President is Noubar Afeyan, has created a vaccine against the coronavirus which has been undergoing clinical trial since March 17 in US, at the Kaiser Permanente healthcare research institution in Seattle, Washington. During the conversation, Noubar Afeyan spoke about the creation and trial processes of the vaccine against the coronavirus.

The interlocutors discussed the situation in the world, including Armenia, created by the outbreak of the coronavirus and measures to prevent its spread and treatment options as well as their efficiency.

Speaking of the steps taken to prevent the spread of the virus and scale it back, President Sarkissian viewed also as important combination of joinig efforts and cooperation with international partners.
