President Armen Sarkissian received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Jun Jamada
President Armen Sarkissian received today the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia H. E. Mr. Jun Jamada.
The President of Armenia noted that development of the relations with Japan is a priority for our country.
Ambassador Jamada expressed gratitude for the meeting and informed that ahead of the visit of the delegation of Japanese businessmen to Armenia active administrative works were already underway.
President Sarkissian discussed with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe the opportunity of organizing a visit of representatives of Japanese companies during their meeting which took place last fall.
President Sarkissian told the Ambassador of Japan in our country that he is ready to meet with the Japanese entrepreneurs and discuss opportunities of cooperation, particularly in the areas of information and high technologies, innovations, education, and in the framework of the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) Presidential initiative.
At the meeting, the parties discussed also practical steps aimed at the cooperation in the areas of nuclear safety and food production.
