Message by President Armen Sarkissian: let’s stand together by our troops and officers, let’s maintain peace in our homes and society
Dear Compatriots,
Related to the recent alarming occurrences in the Armed Forces, first I would like to express my sincere condolences and share the grief of the families and friends of all servicemen who died in the line of duty.
Death of every soldier and officer, every citizen of Armenia, our every compatriot is a severe pain, irreparable loss.
Dear Soldiers, Dear Commanders,
Before you left to serve in the Army, each of you received heartfelt blessing, affectionate warmth, a cordial kiss from your family, your parents, wife, kids and keens, your sweetheart. You received wishes for safe service and safe return; they were confident that you would be unfailing defenders of the Fatherland, they were confident that you would be a good friend and a good friend would be standing by you with whom you would share not only hardships of the service but also the feeling of being together, shoulder to shoulder, strong, presenting comprehensive and unbreakable power.
Army is a challenge, learning, discipline, a lesson of life and patriotism which is not obtained easily but is necessary nevertheless.
After you passed it, you become more mature, stronger, learn to withstand and overcome, to be composed, reserved and most importantly to be responsible, because you – 18-year-old conscripts, or experienced officers, who went through the crucible of army life - are entrusted with the most precious thing of all – our Fatherland, protection of our families, our future, and peace.
Take your mission with the utmost responsibility, your relations with each other, remember tolerance is the proof of strength.
Remember that you are serving in a victorious Army and must carry on with dignity the best traditions of the Armenian Army established and formed through life and death – traditions of mutual assistance, unity, and togetherness.
We trust, believe in and wait for each of you. Remember that we no lives give away, we must not have unfulfilled dreams, babies are to be born in your families, each of you deserve and must see the bright future of our united and peaceful Fatherland, the future which you create with your dedicated service.
Dear Compatriots,
Let’s stand together by our troops and officers, let’s maintain peace in our homes and society.
There can be no peace in home without tolerance, without feeling each other’s pain, without respecting each other’s opinion, without learning to live with each other.
God bless us all.
