President Armen Sarkissian met with representatives of IT companies: through joint efforts to make Armenia a country of modern technologies

President Armen Sarkissian met today with the representatives of the IT companies.
President Sarkissian stressed the importance of developing modern technologies and noted that joint efforts were needed to make Armenia a country of modern technologies.

In this context he presented ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) Presidential initiative and noted that the project, which consists of three elements, aims at bringing to Armenia leading IT and technological companies to develop artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, development of machine teaching and implementation of educational programs. The President informed that a preliminary agreement has already been reached with over two dozen companies.

The President spoke also about the Armenian Summit of Minds to be held this year, which will be dedicated in particular to artificial intelligence and geopolitics, as well as to Horasis-China international conference which will be attended by dozens of Chinese companies.

Representatives of the IT area stressed the importance of the meeting with the President and his assistance to the development of modern technologies in Armenia. They noted that stand ready to cooperate and come up with proposals.
