President Armen Sarkissian held a meeting with the heads and representatives of a number of Armenia’s commercial banks

President Armen Sarkissian held today a meeting with a number of heads and representatives of Armenia’s commercial banks.

President Sarkissian said that during his meetings abroad he constantly notes that Armenia has a stable and developed banking system which is very important in presenting Armenia to potential investors from the viewpoint of the country’s trustworthiness.

President mentioned that stability of the banking and financial system in Armenia is a good prerequisite for starting a business.

At the proposal of the President, the heads of banks presented their approaches related to the system’s development, existing problems, and avenues to solve them.

The interlocutors exchanged views on Armenia’s financial and banking systems, and on the economy, banks’ development, and international cooperation in general.
