Great opportunities for cooperation: President Armen Sarkissian met with the President of Israel Innovation Authority
President Armen Sarkissian, who is in the State of Israel on a working visit, met with a delegation headed by the President of Israel Innovation Authority Amiram Appelbaum.
The Center is assisting the Government of Israel on its initiatives aimed at the development of the country, proposing in particular innovative solutions for the development of environment, renewable energy, digital healthcare, and agriculture.
At the meeting discussed was a wide range of issues related to the opportunities of cooperation in the area of modern technologies. In particular, President Sarkissian introduced the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) Presidential Initiative aimed at the development of science and technologies in Armenia. The parties concurred that there are ample opportunities for cooperation in the framework of this project. Amiram Appelbaum underscored that the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to discuss how these two small countries can work together and learn from each other, turning being small into a big advantage.
The President of Armenia in his turn noted that small can be beautiful, strong, and successful. “We can cooperate especially in the areas of science and technologies. Our peoples are successful in these areas,” President Sarkissian said. He expressed hope that the Israel Innovation Authority and ATOM initiative could jointly create values.
The President of Armenia invited Dr. Ami Appelbaum to visit Armenia.
