President Sarkissian met in Davos with the Chairman of the Board of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Shunichi Miyanaga

In the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, President Armen Sarkissian is holding meetings with representatives of the world’s leading companies and business community.

President Armen Sarkissian met with the leading Japanese Mitsubishi Group's Member of the Board, Chairman of the Board of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Shunichi Miyanaga. President Sarkissian and Shunichi Miyanaga recalled warmly their previous meeting in Tokyo.

They spoke about cooperation, opportunities of application in Armenia of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ advanced technologies and expertise.

Speaking of the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) Presidential initiative, which is aimed at the development of modern technologies based on artificial intelligence, management of large volumes of data and mathematical modeling, the parties agreed that they could become partners in this area.

President Sarkissian and Shunichi Miyanaga exchanged views on the issues pertinent to nuclear fuel and management of nuclear waste.
