Oath taking ceremony of the newly appointed judges took place at the Presidential Palace: you are the essence and face of the law and Constitution

Today, the oath taking ceremony of Hasmik Jalalian, judge of the first instance general jurisdiction court of Shirak marz and Elena Arakelian, judge of the first instance general court of Lori marz took place at the Presidential Palace. The ceremony was attended by President Armen Sarkissian.

President Sarkissian congratulated the newly appointed judges and wished success in their responsible job. “One of the most sensitive issues for our country is to have an accomplished judicial system. The problem is ot only yours but you will have an important input because for the citizens the court is not an abstract notion. You are the essence and face of the law and Constitution,” he said.

President Sarkissian urged the newly appointed judges to always remain true to the Constitutions and laws. “In dealing with even a minor case, which may seem not that significant, don’t view it as unimportant. The citizens ought to be certain that you give a fair judgement, in accordance with the law and Constitution.”
