Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Armenia Evangelos Tournakis presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian: I am confident we will continue to solidify our achievements

President Armen Sarkissian congratulated the newly appointed ambassador and wish him success in executing his diplomatic mission in our country. “The friendship of our two peoples is millennia-long, we have been maintaining strong cultural and historical ties for centuries,” the President underscored. “I wish you every success and I am confident that you will do your best to maintain the achievements existing in our relations and to deepen our bilateral ties in every area.”

Ambassador Evangelos Tournakis noted that he is glad to represent his country in the friendly Armenia and is ready to contribute his experience and knowledge to a further deepening of the bilateral relations.

At the meeting, the parties spoke about the importance of developing cooperation of the two friendly states in all areas, and noted in particular that great potential for cooperation exists in the areas of science, education, technologies, and tourism.
