President Armen Sarkissian congratulated the newly appointed judges and wished success in their responsible work. “I would like to remind you that much depends on your work when it comes to our country’s stability and statehood building. There can be no stable and developing country if it has some unstable institutes or there is a lack of respect towards certain institutes,” the President noted and highlighted the judiciary as one of the most important institutes for development. The President stressed the role and importance of upholding law and order from the viewpoint of fairness and justice and trust towards the courts.
“Any law, starting from the Constitution, is alive when it is applied and that application is your accomplishment. Your emotions and preferences must be set aside; you must be guided only by the law. Only then our citizens will trust the state system, will trust the court and justice system. Without it, we cannot have a stable country which will be able to withstand hardships. Each citizen should be confident that he or she is living in the right country,” the President underscored. “Each of you is the face of the law, the state, and the statehood. I wish you to execute your duties at the highest professional level.”
