On the occasion of the International Day of Commemoration of the Victims of Genocide President visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial

Today, on the occasion of the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime, President Armen Sarkissian, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian, Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanian visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial and paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Back in 2015, at the initiative of the Republic of Armenia, the UN General Assembly declared December 9 the “International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime.” By this step, Armenia restated its commitment to become a leader of the global fight against genocides.
