President Sarkissian will participate at the funeral of Gohar Vradanian: the greatest respect towards her accomplishments and warmest memories

President Armen Sarkissian on November 29 in Moscow will participate at the funeral of the legendary intelligence agent Gohar Vardanian.

Armen Sarkissian personally knew Mrs. Gohar and her husband, legendary agent Gevork Vardanian.

Vardanian and Sarkissian families had cordial relations for many years, they were bonded by a great friendship. Armen Sarkissian took every opportunity to visit Gevork and Gohar Vardanians.

President Sarkissian views as extremely important the contribution made by the Vardanians to the area of intelligence and during his meetings, statements, and in conversations often brings them as an example of service to the Fatherland carried out even living away from it, love for one’s country, thinking of it constantly, of living in Armenia for only a brief period of time but loving Armenia that much and remaining Armenian.

When President Armen Sarkissian participated last spring at the opening of the auditorium at the V. Bryusov State Linguistic University, which was named after the legendary intelligence agents Gohar and Gevork Vardanians, he called Gohar Vardanian from that very classroom and reiterated his cordials feelings for the Vardanians.
