In the framework of EBRD Summit President Sarkissian met with the Prime Minister of Belarus
In the framework of the First Eastern Partnership Investment Summit organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), President Armen Sarkissian met with the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas.
Present at the meeting was also the Vice Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinian. Discussed were issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and Belarus. President Sarkissian noted that during the recent successful visits to Belarus areas and fields with great potential of cooperation have been identified and promising were viewed the areas of modern technologies, especially areas of artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling.
President Sarkissian proposed to discuss opportunities for implementing joint programs in the areas of information and high technologies. Prime Minister Rumas noted that by combining their forces Armenia and Belarus would be able to move faster in this direction. “You have your competitive programs, we have our own. We need to understand how we can combine them to create synergy,” he added.
