President Sarkissian received the Head of the State Military Industry Committee of the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Director of Chessify company

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Head of the State Military Industry Committee of the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry Avetik Kerobian and Director of Chessify company Gor Vardanian.

The Director of the Chessify company told the President about the areas of the company’s activities and its programs. He noted that the company, which is working in the area of information technologies, was developing technological solutions for the game of chess, applying for it some elements of artificial intelligence. A program is being designed to use the company’s toolbox of artificial intelligence also in other areas.

At the meeting discussed were the opportunities of cooperation in the framework of the Presidential ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) project. President Sarkissian informed that this project, which is directed at the development of technologies and science in Armenia, aims at bringing to Armenia major international technological companies which together with Armenian companies through the enterprises will carry out scientific and research programs, mainly in the areas of artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, and management of large volume information.

It was noted that the implementation of the ATOM would not only advance the technological development of our country but would also create opportunities for the local companies working in the mentioned areas.
