President received the founder of the Schneider Group: Armenia is a good bridge between European Union and Eurasian Economic Union

President Armen Sarkissian received today the founder of the famous German company Schneider Group, Ulf Schneider. The company has an office in Yerevan which offers consulting services in the area of business development aiming at attracting more investments.

At the meeting, Ulf Schneider informed the President of Armenia on the initiative called “From Lisbon to Vladivostok” and noted that it strives to establish closer economic ties and cooperation between the European Union and Eurasian Economic Union. He proposed to organize a conference dedicated to this project next year in Armenia.

“Armenia is a good bridge between the European Union and Eurasian Economic Union. I participated last summer at the Armenian Summit of Minds in Dilijan and I am inspired with the conference. I believe Armenia is a good venue for hosting this event,” Mr. Schneider noted. He informed that the meeting of the working group on this project took place recently in Brussels and was attended by the representatives of the European commission and EAEU.

President Sarkissian hailed the initiative and noted that he was ready to assist in the organization of the conference.
