President Sarkissian will conduct official visit to the Republic of Serbia

At the invitation of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, President Armen Sarkissian and Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian in the evening of October 3 will leave for an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

In the framework of the visit the President will hold meetings with the highest leadership of the country President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Speaker of the National Assembly Maja Gojkovic, Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej. The meetings wii focus on the agenda of bilateral ties, multiple issues the opportunities and prospects of the Armenian-Serbian economic cooperation.

The President’s itinerary includes also visits to the scientific, technology and educational establishments and will meet with the representatives of the Armenian community.

In Belgrade, President Sarkissian will visit the cross-stone installed in the memory of the Serbian pilots whose aircraft crushed while delivering humanitarian assistance to the victims of a devastating earthquake in Spitak in 1988.He will pay tribute to their memory and visit also the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
