President Sarkissian awarded the highest military ranks and titles: Difficult and honorable work and service

President Armen Sarkissian signed decrees to award the Head of the RA National Security Service, Colonel Arthur Vanetsian, Head of the State Protection
Service of the National Security Service, Colonel Grigori Hairapetov, Head of the RA Police, Colonel of the Police Service Valeri Osipian, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the RA Armed Forces, Major-General Onik Gasparian, Commander of the Signal Corps of the RA Armed Forces, Head of the Signal and Automated Command Systems Department, Colonel Temur Shahnazarian, Head of the RA Special Investigative Service, First Rank Councilor of Justice Sasoun Khatchatrian, Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, First Rank Councilor of Justice Haik Grigorian, RA Prosecutor General, First Rank Councilor of Justice Arthur Davtian with the highest state military titles and ranks.

The official award ceremony took place today at the Presidential Palace. President Sarkissian congratulated those present on the occasion of Constitution Day and on receiving high state military ranks and titles. In his remarks, he noted that it was symbolic that military titles and rank were awarded on Constitution Day.

“You honorably and diligently carry out your duty on defending the borders of our Fatherland, on upholding constitutional and civic order in the country, and on strengthening the rule of law,”
President Sarkissian said. “What you are doing, it not just a duty, it is a difficult and honorable work and service which relate directly and indirectly to our country’s and our people’s present and the future, too.

By fulfilling your duties diligently, you uphold the security of the country, as well as the rights and freedoms of the citizens, and certainly, the Constitution.

I have no doubt that from now on you will do your work and duties with even a greater responsibility and dedication, in the interests of the Republic of Armenia, our citizens, and the entire nation.”
