President hosted a group of participants of the 5th International Medical Conference: Dedication and work become more sensible when people are healthy

President Armen Sarkissian hosted today a group of participants of the 5th International Medical Conference. Present at the meeting was also the Minister of Health of Armenia Arsen Torossian.

The President welcomed the guests and stressed the importance of holding the 5th International Medical Conference in Armenia. “I would like to say not only the words of welcome but also the words of encouragement because the job you are doing, everyone at his or her place and all together, is very important and valuable. Just as in any family, in the country, too, aspirations, dedication, and work are more sensible when people are healthy,” the President said and noted that the development of this area is important for the country’s and the nation’s future, also from the viewpoint of preservation of the legacy and the values.

Highlighting health as a prerequisite for achieving success, President Sarkissian said that the gathering of famous doctors and high-class specialists, discussions and proposals related to urgent medical issues greatly support state programs in the medical area.

Minister of Health Arsen Torossian and Chairman of 5th International Medical Conference, Executive Director of the Izmirlian Medical Center Armen Chartchian spoke about the Conference and noted that among the main objectives was to get familiarized with the latest news and innovations in the area of medicine through our compatriots in Spyurk as well as to discuss the possibilities of implementing them in Armenia, personal and specialized networking, all of it for the benefit of Armenia.
Doctors-representatives of different medical institutions in Armenia and abroad spoke about their programs of cooperation with the Fatherland, presented to Armen Sarkissian their ideas and proposals.

The 5th International Medical Conference is attended by doctors and healthcare professionals from 22 countries. The motto of this year’s conference is “Armenia-Spyurk-Artsakh Unity for Health”.
