President Armen Sarkissian’s Address

Dear Compatriots,

The fact that democratic processes in the Republic of Armenia are irreversible must not be doubted either in Armenia, or beyond its borders.

In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, power belongs to the people. Hence, the RA branches of power – legislative, executive, and judicial should reflect the collective will of the people of Armenia and serve their constitutional purposes.

Thus, I am call upon all citizens of Armenia, regardless of their social or political position and standing, to maintain tranquility and calmness, to uphold the Constitution and the laws.

At this time, I am on a working visit abroad but maintain a constant contact with the relevant state bodies.

I urge in these day to manifest soberness and tolerance.
